XL Tax Service

XL Tax Service is a tax preparation business that receives high praise from its customers. The tax preparers, especially Sam and Ralph, are commended for their expertise and dedication. Ralph is described as thorough, thoughtful, and clear in his explanations. He goes the extra mile to try to lower his clients' taxes. The receptionist, Maria, is noted for her friendliness, professionalism, and excellent communication skills.

Customers have shared great experiences, with one mentioning a large refund and calling XL Tax the best tax service in Phoenix. While there can be long wait times, many feel it is worth it. Some customers have had negative experiences with trainees who lack typing and spelling skills. There is also a policy of not making appointments for the current month, which can be inconvenient. Additionally, new customers may need to fill out a tax questionnaire, which is not a common practice at other tax services.

Despite these issues, customers appreciate the affordable cost of $135 for a single w-2 and the extended hours of operation, including Sundays. Many have been returning for years, with one noting that they will always come back for the amazing, friendly service. XL Tax Service has a family-like atmosphere that takes the stress out of tax season, making the entire process easier than expected. Overall, XL Tax Service provides excellent tax preparation services, but there is room for improvement in training and appointment processes.
