The nasty older woman answering phones is so rude. I've left several messages over the course of 2 weeks for their director, Steven Sheets, and he has yet to return my calls. This place is useless! They're only interested in collecting a paycheck.
Very professional organization who care for their clients! I'm truly impressed by their dedication to supporting individuals with mental illnesses. Their compassionate team goes above and beyond to provide valuable resources and a sense of community, creating a safe space for those in need. The impact they've made on mental health advocacy is commendable, and I wholeheartedly recommend supporting their invaluable work.
If zero stars was a thing, I would give them one. I have a friend that wanted to quit drinking and needed detox for his 20 year history of heavy alcohol use. They needed medical clearance, which I understand, we got that at the local hospital. Got back to SWB in Kingman Arizona. They accepted him into a "chair" while waiting for the doctor to make rounds in the morning. I got a text from him at 10:45 saying that SWB was discharging him. How is 16 hours freaking detox. That doesn't even get the alcohol out of the freaking body. It takes approximately 1 hour for a healthy liver to process one shot of alcohol. My friend drank approximately 1 gallon of alcohol per day. Just to get the alcohol out of his body is a 4-5 day process. Then the body will then go into withdrawals. This is not a safe practice. I will NEVER recommend SWB for anyone that has an addiction and wants help.
