Therapy With Heart has been an amazing experience for both myself and my partner. We attended a couples workshop with TWH, and found it to be truly transformative for our relationship. You can tell these therapists care deeply about the people they work with, and have extensive training in Emotionally Focussed Therapy that goes beyond any expertise that other therapists I have worked with in the past had to offer. I have thought long and hard about whether or not to leave a review for here. I think I've finally figured out what to say.
I'm sure this place works for people. Especially those who are not really in touch with their emotions and need help doing so. However, for me this place only caused a lot of confusion. I'm not one to shy away from crying. I'm not one to bury my emotions. I explore them daily. So... When I cried during my sessions, the therapist I had would say stuff like "feel your emotions" which only caused me to hesitate and question if I wasn't currently feeling my emotions then what was I doing wrong?
