I’ve visited the Arizona Humane Society’s Papago Park campus a few times to spend time socializing the animals, and every visit has been genuinely uplifting. This no-kill shelter is beautiful, exceptionally clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed for both the animals and the people who come to meet them.
They care for dogs, cats, bunnies, and guinea pigs. The dogs have access to covered outdoor kennel areas, and it is clear that the animals receive attentive care. I’ve also been impressed by the medical, foster, adoption, and animal-assistance facilities all in one place. There are always volunteers around, and I’ve seen animals being adopted during my visits.

We brought our 15 year old cat who was very sick and they helped with the decision that I didn't want to make. Very supportive and friendly for a very sad day. We had taken him to our vet but the vet wanted to put him through a bunch of testing which would cause so much more unnecessary stress on him. Great staff. Very caring and supportive.
