Just had a phone consult with Dr Mellen. I am super surprised he was the one to call and not a nurse or other. He was very nice and seemed concerned. Will update after my appointment in person.

The professionals I have spoken with are great. The big failing is with the telephone answering system. Callers get an extremely long monologue of mostly useless information (unless one is a new patient) before any options to speak to a human or leave a message. The options should be presented immediately along with one for new patients to hear the doctors' names, location information, and the like. Leaving a message is often impossible because the mailbox is full.

Had a colonoscopy with Dr. Patel in the past and was happy with staff, directions and his pleasant but professional manner. So, now I am back. Setting up this most recent telephone consult was very helpful because I was in another state. We took care of everything over the phone and am now scheduled for the procedure. All good.
