About Arizona Allergy Associates

Arizona Allergy Associates is an allergy specialty clinic that provides care for both adult and pediatric patients. The clinic is staffed by board-certified allergists who have completed formal fellowships in allergy and immunology. They specialize in treating various conditions, including seasonal allergies, asthma, eczema, contact dermatitis, hives, and immune deficiency. Patients have praised the doctors at Arizona Allergy Associates for their exceptional care. Many have noted the dedication of the physicians, especially one doctor who has been involved in patient care for over 25 years. The clinic is well-organized and clean, with a friendly front desk staff who often recognize returning patients by name. However, there are concerns regarding parking availability, which is limited and can be difficult to navigate, particularly for those needing accessible spots. The facility's seating is comfortable, and the wait times for appointments are generally shorter compared to other medical offices. While the doctors and back office nurses receive high marks for their attentiveness and kindness, some patients have reported unsatisfactory experiences with certain front office staff. Instances of unprofessional behavior have been highlighted, including issues surrounding the treatment of non-English speaking patients and a lack of understanding regarding the need for water in the waiting area. Patients feel that the presence of drinks by staff members while denying water to patients is inconsiderate. Overall, Arizona Allergy Associates has a solid reputation for quality medical care in the field of allergy and immunology. While the physicians and nurses are often praised, the clinic could improve patient experience by addressing the concerns related to parking and front office interactions.

Dr Wong has been a part of my care for the last 25 years. His dedication to us patients is absolutely phenomenal. He tests for things you'd never think you had, example with me it was for a latex allergy back before the diagnosis was more common then thought. This location, one of many that's spread out across the valley, is a great location. It's kept clean and organized and the front desk staff is professional. They know me by first name so when they see me enter I don't have to sign in, convenient to say the least. Parking is absolutely horrible since there a very limited amount of parking spots available so be prepared to have a lil hard time with parking. Theres only 2 spots for handicap. Disabled parking spots aren't really set up for van lifts. The spots are very tight and narrow There approximately 12 in total and no other businesses to provide parking. Seating within this location is plentiful and kept cool/warm depending on the season. Allergy testing isn't so bad here or else I've toughened up. Haha Bathroom is unisex and will fit my wheelchair but it too is awfully tight. Move ability is a bit of a challenge but doable or at least in my case. A lot of wiggling. Lol Appts go pretty fast compared to other doctors office so being on time is pretty important. I believe there is a fee for no shows which is common anymore, especially since this a specialty. The practices are all training of new allergist but they will ask you first if it's ok to allow the students in the exam room or not. Oddly the practice has a brother team within it so be ready to get a bit confused at first on who's who but either Dr Wongs are great and very friendly. I believe they both have been on a few magazines for their stellar care and paying attention to us patients. They do cater to our young ones in hopes they can help curve the fear of injections aka needle phobia's. There is a growing anti injections or allergy shots be it a phenomenon so I'll let you make ur own decisions on your care. Perhaps of your looking at this review your not. 4 star because I very rarely give 5's. Since there's no 4 1-2. Reasons being parking issue and bathroom size. Please note that this review is for only the downtown/phoenix location and not the others. Finding this office can be a bit confusing if it's your first few times coming here. Complementary WiFi is provide while your waiting your turn or for whatever your there.

The doctor was excellent, very attentive and willing...he clarified my doubts, and very kind! ..
On the other hand, bad attitude on the part of the nurse who treated me, she looked upset because I didn't know how to speak English... they should have more trained personnel who speak Spanish... and provide better treatment to the patients!!

First I want to say the doctors are amazing and the back office nurses as well. Wish I could say the same for the front office staff. Well at least 1 lady, not sure if she was having a bad day or what but her tone and her demeaner was not acceptable. We live in Arizona and temps get to about 100 plus degrees and you cannot have WATER? Her exact words, "you need to put that in your car" that's it. I tossed it in the trash not before I told her it is plain water, we cant have water? She did not say anything else to me as she sat there drinking her BIG GULP. When some individuals have to sit at that office for hours due to nature of appointment and you cannot have water??...read full review
