Velvet Hound is the bestest groomery!!!! I cannot say enough good things about it! They treat you and your fur baby like family! My sweet Zola always looks and smells amazing after a spaw day! What used to take 4-5 hours at other groomers takes only 2 hours here! The cubicles vs kennels alleviate so much stress!!! Thank you, Velvet Hound Groomery!!!!!! See you next month!???

We love taking our pup to Velvet Hound Groomery! He’s gotten his best haircuts here and I love that they offer hypoallergenic shampoo that leaves him smelling fresh without the scent of perfume. They always send him home wearing a cute bandanna that goes with the season too ?

The Velvet Hound lives up to its name in service and the quality of their work. The check-in process is thorough yet streamlined and the staff is very friendly and helpful. There are half-height cubicles with comfortable beds for your babies to rest while waiting and the grooming is completed in plain view so you know it’s safe. My corgi-mix strutted out of the groomery looking and smelling like a supermodel! After this experience, we are now loyal customers. If you’re looking for a safe, comfortable, and pleasant experience for your pet’s pampering, the Velvet Hound is the place!

Velvet Hound Groomery is Oro Valley's compassionate dog groomer, offering individual attention in a stress-free, cage-free environment. We work with each dog individually, from bathing to drying to scissoring. Upon arrival, your dog is groomed immediately. There’s no waiting in a cage and no drying in a cage. Our salon is kennel-free but not roam-free. Dogs do not mingle with other dogs and are always supervised. if they wait for their pet parents to pick them up, they have private cubbies to lounge in. Our groomers, certified in Pet First Aid and CPR, our grooming equipment is modern and new, we use only the finest canine beauty care products, and we even have a special air purifier to provide a clean and healthy indoor environment.
