I called and asked if they are accepting new patients and was brusquely told no. I asked if they had an idea when an opening might come up and I was told “never.” So out of confusion I pressed the matter. I asked how that was possible. Don’t doctors lose patients? Don’t patients move, switch doctors, die? I was told that the doctors here never lose patients and never will accept more. None of the doctors here will ever accept new patients for all eternity I guess. It was a really perplexing phone call. If your over 65, they assume u have medicare b. Cindy argues with you as if u have cognitive issues and are unaware of your age and insurance plan. I witnessed her yelling at a pt. Telling her she has to do a vision test , wt&ht and that she is 67 and is on medicare and has to comply . Bizzare, pts have the right to refuse and the pt said they had private insurance and only medicare A is auto -enrolled. Violating pts hipaa in front of me . I wonder if they are trying to do additional services to get more medicare money.
This place and the medical professionals are not who they used to be. The past several times I have been, my concerns have been brushed off completely. There is not an ounce of kindness anymore, even with them being my family's provider for 18 years, Dr. Dunevant in particular. I am so disappointed and sad that after so long, I will be finding another provider, that hopefully has more compassion and will actually listen to me instead of brushing me off to try and get me out the door as soon as possible.
