Dr. McOmber is the one if the best pediatric gastroenterologists in the nation. He is wonderful with all pediatric patients but especially special needs kids. The way he speaks with kids and parents is just exceptional, and he is a blessing to have at this location. The facility here is clean, and convenient.

Dr. Hamant is very much loved by my daughter, Zoe A. Griffiths, and me. It was nice to see a familiar face and speak with a communicative, kind human again. Looking forward to seeing her and the other staff again, for follow-up.

Don’t call yourself an urgent care if you’re appt based. That’s poor marketing and hinders families in need. It’s a disgrace to the medical community and parents. So wrong and sad. Shame on you.

Walked in tonight with my 11 month old to an empty lobby 90-minutes before their posted close time. The person at the front desk said they don’t see walk-ins and that we needed an appointment. Again, lobby was empty. He told us to book an appointment for tomorrow. Went across the street to Banner Urgent Care who said they could see us right away. The person at Banner told us they’ve had a huge influx of kids since Phx Children’s started requiring appointments. You can do better Phx Children’s!

I am always worried about germs when going to medical places with kids. Very clean nice facility, usually able to get in with about an hour. Nice staff. No wait.

Had a great experience with taking my grandson there last night, when all others were closed. Front staff went over and above to help us even though I didn’t make an appointment. Nurses checked on my grandsons breathing why we waited for our time. And the nurses and doctor in the back was fast, nice, helpful and made my grandson feel at ease!!! So very thankful to them all, helped a very scared nana out and helped my grandson quickly. Thank you to staff on 12/9/25

I had a very upsetting experience at Phoenix Children’s Urgent Care in Mesa. The front desk staff member, Dewana, was extremely rude from the moment I asked for help. The digital forms they sent me weren’t allowing me to upload my ID or my child’s insurance card, so I went to the desk to ask for assistance. When I handed her my Mexican passport, she gave me uncomfortable looks, nodded her head while reviewing it, and made me feel judged based on my ID.
When I asked if there was a problem, she responded with attitude and dismissiveness. The interaction felt discriminatory and unprofessional. I ultimately took my ID back and left because I refuse to be treated that way while seeking medical care for my child.
This experience needs to be addressed—no parent should be treated disrespectfully or made to feel unwelcome because of the type of identification they present.

This place is absolutely horrible, especially front staff is very rude . I took my son to this place with a severe allergic reaction , they refused to see my child by being so rude and said they are appointment only and no more appointments available.

We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Abelson and the entire staff. Everyone was kind, helpful, and communicated clearly throughout every step of our son’s care. We are so grateful for the help and treatment he received. Thank you so much!
