I hired Eduardo Garnica (E&JJS Concrete Construction) for a backyard project that included concrete, turf, and pavers. We agreed on a total price of $8,750.

I paid $1,000 in cash as a deposit and an additional $2,375 via Venmo for materials at his request.

After payment was made, the project was delayed multiple times. Only minimal framing work was completed, and the concrete pour that was scheduled never happened.

Communication then stopped completely. I made multiple attempts to contact him by phone and text and received no response. I also requested a refund, which was not returned.

As of now, I am out $3,375 with no completed work.

Came out and did the initial clean-up of the yard, but never returned for subsequent appointments for ongoing maintenance. When asked about it, I was told they would come out after the day they were supposed to show but didn't, but they never showed again. This seems to be a common problem with this service even with other providers.

I have been using this yard service for about three years. Last year I asked them to service my watering system. They told me the main panel had to be replaced, which they did. Since then I have had problems with a few of the stations not working. I noticed about three months ago that my grapefruit tree was drying up, then my two years old lemon tree. I have tried to bring them back with manual watering, but the damage is severe. During this time I have placed numerous calls and texts to them. They did not show up for service at all this month and have ghosted me, leaving me with a broken watering system and hundreds of dollars worth of dead trees.I strongly suggest you do not use this service.
