Sorry I didn’t write this sooner! Ty is a phenomenal guitar teacher, and working with him has completely transformed my playing. In just 2 years of lessons, I’ve gained what feels like 8+ years of experience and progress. He breaks things down in a way that makes sense, keeps it fun, and truly knows how to help you grow—no matter your level. If you're willing to put in the practice and follow his guidance, Ty will absolutely help you become the guitar player you want to be. Highly recommend!
I have been with East Mesa School of Guitar for nearly 2 years. As an “experienced” albeit beginner player, I was looking to get back into playing my guitar after a long layoff of a few decades where I would only occasionally strum my guitar. East Mesa School of Guitar, and my instructor Fred Boye, helped me rediscover my love and passion for playing and had a great approach to teaching me enough theory to help me understand how and why to play certain songs while also ensuring I was learning new songs and staying interested in what I was working on. I'm enjoying learning how to play guitar! Even at the age of 58! Ty is an extremely talented guitarist and instructor; he has the heart of a teacher! If you you are looking to learn how to play guitar, at any age. Go for it! East Mesa School of Guitar is the place to learn!
