Beware of Colter Electric people they will run up your bill. We hired Colter Electric to simply put in a 240 volt receptacle into the garage. The same setup we did with another company in Phoenix for $750 (and took one hour), Colter came up with a bill close to $2200! Granted, the receptacle needed more work as it’s farther from the house’s power. But I expected a maximum bill of about $1250.Here’s what they did. They had my wife sign a “contract” and then charged for TWO people at $100 per hour for three times as many hours as the job should’ve taken. On a previous job they did for us, it was only ONE electrician. So they snuck in a second electrician, charged...read full review

But I expected a maximum bill of about $1500.Here's what they did. They had my wife sign a "contract" and then charged for TWO people at $100 per hour for twice as much time as the job should've taken. On a previous job they did for us, it was only ONE electrician. So they snuck in a second electrician, charged double, and expected my wife not to notice.I'm writing this poor review as I don't like anyone being taken advantage of. I hate the thought of an elderly person being put in a situation like this. I called out the owner on it, who refused to acknowledge that two people for 6 hours each is excessive for a receptacle installation.STAY AWAY FROM COLTER!!

I have been volunteering at the Market of Dreams, a non-profit that helps businesses owners own a business. They had moved locations and needed an electrician. No one could help, was too expensive, or outright unwilling. Colter Electric stepped up. Wow! The knowledge and professionalism brought to the sight was a miracle. Renovations will continue to be made and the community of Sunnyside will have a place to feature art, goods, services, and food! His team collaborated with the other professionals on sire, thoroughly explained the process so a four-year-old could understand, and was awesome to work with. Things such as safety were brought to the attention of the site manager which impressed me. He didn't suggest the minimum protection, but maximum for long terms safety even if it was an a higher cost. Our health was his priority every step of the way. I highly recommend Colter Electric for commercial and residential needs as the premier electric experts in Arizona!
