Trnd Setters Barbershop is located in a Glendale strip mall. The windows are covered, but inside the vibe features loud rap music and tons of graffiti artwork. The staff is super friendly and great with kids, including picky clients. Walk-ins are welcomed, with service often starting quickly. The barbers take their time to do it right, getting client input and specializing in styles like fades. The cuts are awesome, tight, and customers are always happy with the end result. The atmosphere has great vibes and good music. It is a cash-only business, with an ATM on site. The seating for waiting, described as cold bleachers, can be uncomfortable for longer waits. Multiple specific barbers are highly recommended by loyal clients. Many families return consistently, with some clients switching to this shop permanently.
My son found this spot from a post on TikTok. It's located in a strip mall in Glendale. You can't tell the vibe from the parking lot as the windows are fully covered not allowing to see inside. As soon as you open the door you are greeted by loud rap music and tons of graffiti artwork. Everyone was super friendly and we were told as a walk-in to write his name on the board and he would be up when the next barber was available, which literally all happened within a minute. He jumped in the chair and then got an awesome haircut for the next hour. It did take quite a while for the haircut, which my son appreciated but me as the person waiting was very uncomfortable sitting on cold bleachers for an entire hour. Also I didn't realize they expect cash only (luckily I had enough) otherwise I would have needed to use one of those ATMs they had in the shop which probably had a large service fee. Nowhere that I could locate said cash only. Overall my son really liked the barber and his haircut so we will likely return.
We followed Jordan here because he does such a great job! My 3 boys are super picky and won't go to anyone else! He takes his time and does it right and gets their input every time on what they want done. He's great with any style and knows how to do a fade. Make sure to ask for Jordan if you go in!
