When my toilet supply hose broke, the plumber who repaired it sent a big-name restoration company to assess the water damage. That company did a quick assessment and quoted a high price. I decided to call the Emergency Flood Team for a second opinion, which turned out to be the expert opinion we wanted! They immediately set themselves apart by putting on protective shoe booties to show respect for my home. As they entered, they greeted me warmly with a handshake and genuine introductions before inquiring about what had happened. Their damage assessment was thorough and detailed. Steve used digital and thermal moisture meters to inspect walls and cabinets, even in areas I thought were unaffected. Sure enough, he found additional damage that the first company missed. After his analysis, Steve explained that the issue could likely be resolved without tearing into my baseboards or drywall. They set up fans and dehumidifiers for three days, planning to return and check progress. After I agreed to their services, Steve carefully documented all affected areas with photos of the meter readings. He brought in seven fans and two dehumidifiers, positioning them to cover every wall that was affected, and even taped down the cords to eliminate tripping hazards.
