Staff were kind, and rooms are clean. However i’d appreciate a little more professionalism regarding conversations with doctors. I do not appreciate being told that I “don’t look like” I have my listed disabilities. Regardless, I never wait long for my pharmacy pickups or appointments.

This business is very poorly run and a predatory practice. I would never recommend anyone going to them for medical care or otherwise. They will overcharge you and take advantage any chance they get. You should also expect 2 plus hour wait times at their Grand Canyon location for walk-ins/ ‘urgent’ care. I went in for a flu shot and was charged over $250 for “establishing care” what a racket! If you care about yourself or your loved ones, steer clear of these scam artists!

Very friendly staff and were able to answer all of my questions in a timely manner. The providers are really great as well and are very attentive to my needs. Overall, very satisfied with being a current (and future patient) of NCHC! Highly recommended if you’re looking for a new PCP.

Some of the lowest quality care I've received. Coming from the worst state for health care in the U.S, I was hoping for a big jump.... Barely a bump. Without talking about the inability to hear the patient beyond ... I have study a drug that might help you.... No one at the hospital was healthy.... Should doctors be healthy? If you study heath .... You should be an example by what you have learned and are telling people this is the way to health Follow me .... The System is not working, it's a woke health care system...

Can’t help but share this….
I had my first checkup with Dr. Jacob Ramsey at North Country HealthCare today.
In addition to the fact that his smile is bigger than mine, Here’s a few things I learned:
1. First and foremost, he has the BEST bedside manner I’ve ever encountered in a medical professional. This alone is most important to me due to the fact that I’ve endured 7 surgeries in the last 7 years and tend to struggle with anxiety around doctors.
2. Although the new patient process is a bit strenuous, this clinic is doing a lot for the community. I received and education on the use of narcan and was given some to keep in our emergency kit.
3. Dr. Ramsey is a new resident here in town with a wife and a couple kids and so far LOVES Payson. This is obviously important to me!
4. Dr. Ramsey is new to this office, so making appointments with him may be easier now then with other providers in town. I personally don’t like book appointments 30 days out if I can help it. I was able to get seen within 10 days of calling!
5. The more our family tries to be mindful of keeping our money in Town, the more we are impressed at just what Payson has to offer! We love supporting local!

I've dealt with North Country Healthcare since 1998, primarily at their Seligman clinic. There are Healthcare clinics that specialize in healthcare and there are Healthcare clinics that specialize in expanding their reach in rural communities and obtaining all the necessary proceedures for billing state and federal health agencies, Access and Medicare. North Country Healthcare is of the latter type of organization. They provide mediocre healthcare but are specialist in obtaining funding through every concievable avenue in the medical field. They've partnered with the College of Medicine -Phoenix to provide a 3 year residency program where they shuttle their doctors around staffing 12 or so clinics under the guise of gaining a rual patient experience while paying them very little in comparison to many residency programs in the US. While they promote their devotion to rural patient medical access to every funding agency available, they've recently closed their Seligman and Ash Fork clinics and will be ending their prescription mail service. I've seen many of healthcare clinics that are adept at maintaining the minimal required standards and requirements to achieve the maximum amount of revenue over the years and unfortunately North Country Healthcare is among them.

Had the worst pre natal care here, luckily I delivered in Phoenix. I have been in Flagstaff 8 years, so I know the downside of living in a small town but I did not expect that to be the case when it came to healthcare. Went as far as filing an official complaint, a few times, against a CNM named Lauren and of course they outsource all of their complaints so it went no where. Stressed me out beyond belief, which was so messed up, as this was my first pregnancy. I would NOT recommend this place for any type of care. They never took my concerns seriously even when she was saying and inferring some pretty unprofessional and obscene things; then tried to claim that my reaction was overboard... no professionalism at all at this place.

I have waited in the lobby for hours on end for dental work and been turned away after seeing the dentist about 5 or 6 times. It's cheap, but cheap is only good if you get the work done. It's almost like the look for reasons to turn you away. Literally, don't waste your time with these people. I won't try them again.
