Great place for taking your pets , they take great care and spend time with them , knowing they take great care of them is peace of mind and comfort while you’re taking care of your own business.

Absolutely love this place! We have been looking for somewhere to take our impatient, antisocial pups. The staff were very loving and patient. Definitely will be bringing the boys back! :)

Very clean and easy to find. They are very friendly and knowledgeable of dogs, felt very at ease leaving our dog there will use them in the future.

Our experience in boarding our Golden Retriever Eddie for five days was fantastic! We had never left him for more than a weekend anywhere before. You just know as a dog owner when you get good vibes and feel like your dog is going to be safe and happy! When we drove off after his check in we knew it was a great place! When we picked him up he was happy, healthy, had a bath and looked great! Thank you to everyone at Applewood Kennels!!!! You made our stay in Sedona worry free!

These people care about these animals probably more than the owners do. They are absolutely amazing. The place is always clean. The people are always friendly. And my dog always loves it there.

SEE UPDATE: Decided to give this place a try even though the play area looked very small. When I went to go pick up my dog at my scheduled pick up time he was soaking wet from them just starting a bath. Luckily I ended up getting the day off of work, but this would’ve been a whole extra day that they would’ve charged me for boarding had I not been able to pick him up later that morning. I’m starting to wonder if this is something they do often..
I did agree to a bath when I dropped him off, but then when it came time to pay, they hit me with an extra full grooming and extra charge for a trim when they had called me and asked if they could just clean up a couple of parts I didn’t expect to be charged extra again.
My dog seemed very anxious when I picked him up, and overall, I did not think that this was a positive experience. Even after paying for the full grooming, a bath and an extra trim, he did not look that different than when I had brought them in in the first place.
After calling a few times and leaving a couple of messages, they never got back to me. After the grooming that I did not agree to, the bath, and the extra trim plus the boarding fee that ended up being a very expensive stay. I will not be going back.

UPDATE:
After receiving that response I’m sorry but no I arrived at the time we discussed which included the fact that I had to pick him up by that time so I could make it to work. I was informed when I left the first time that day that I would be charged for another day of boarding if I wasn’t able to pick him up later after he was already 1.5hrs late. (I’ll stand by the details). As I remember, there is a charge for bath, a charge for trim and tidy, and a charge for a full groom. I agreed to a bath. Then when you called and suggested a trim, I agreed. Then when I arrived I was charged for all three. It was in your own words that you said baths are usually included, and adding a full groom AND tidy fees for knots (for comfort) when he definitely only had two tiny knots behind the ear that I trim regularly, is kind of wild. At this point I’m listing but I guess I need to: you say you put him on your page and you care about communication but he was there for 3days and no call, you lied about the insta post as I’ve never been able to find it, and now you’ve repeated exactly what I was told before reaching out for help. I’m sorry but this has been a very bad experience. Still no effort to call me back.

We left our little buddy with you guys this weekend and he must of had a blast in your care. He slept the entire way home. From the moment we called to book a reservation until the time we picked Knox up you guys cared about him. He didn't even want to leave when we picked him up. That is how we knew he was in good hands. We will definitely bring Knox back. Thank you.
