My Mom received a letter from the IRS about her 2022 taxes with an error on it. We worked with Sarah at Palm Tax who couldn't have been more helpful and nice. The error was my Mom's not Palm Tax. Thank you, Sarah! You really took the time to help us and we couldn't be more grateful!

STAY AWAY FROM ANY SERVICES PROVIDED BY GENA JONES AND PALM TAX AND ACCOUNTING!! I can't say enough to voice how unprofessional And inept this organization is after it was sold and bought by the current owner, Gena Jones. They charged me outrageous preparation fees for my 2022 business and personal taxes and then filed them with my signature that I didn't authorize and against my direction to not file until I approved of the figures and made my state charity contributions. They filed my taxes incorrectly, which cost me now $1300.00 in unnecessary payments for AZ taxes. Then Ms. Jones wanted to charge me to do an amendment based on their error. They agreed to do the amendment without a charge after much debate. Now, I learned that they didn't prepare the amendment properly and so it is now in the trash at AZDOR. It took Ms. Jones several months to prepare my amendment and made several errors that I found before the final (incorrect) draft was filed. I am not sure what I will do next, but it will NOT include more unprofessional, inaccurate, and unreliable effort from Palm Tax! I only have 1 star because I had to choose a star rating. They are a strong zero star organization! PEOPLE BEWARE!

Very disappointed from day one. Gena does not return phone calls or emails for at least a week if you are lucky. We paid her to do our 2019 taxes then in early 2023 was asked to come in and sign a missed signature. Come to find out the taxes still have not been filed and here we are in August. The only reason I found out was because she was doing an OIC for us and we got denied twice. Each time she asked for more money. The last time she acted as if she didn't know why we were denied, saying it should have went through. Well after today I know why now, all of our taxes were not filed. We worked hard to get this taken care of for the past 2 years and gave her thousands of dollars. She is currently asking for ANOTHER $2500 to file the OIC again. We have nothing to show for all of our hard work and money spent. She ripped us off multiple times and I want my money back for her negligence. Stay away from this place!

My federal and Arizona returns for a a family trust were prepared promptly and efficiently. I was surprised by the quick turnaround. The DocuSign digital signature feature is a real time saver. All communications went very smoothly.

This business is terrible. They did not pay my payroll taxes (which I paid them to) for almost an entire year...I figured it all out when the IRS threatened to levy my home (LITERALLY). As a result of Palm Tax's negligence I incurred thousands of dollars in IRS late fees and penalties...and in some total lapse of my better judgement I still paid them for filing my end-of-year taxes (lesson learned and mistake would not be made again)! The worst part of all of this is that I have directly messaged the owner, Gena Jones, regarding the matter(s) and she has literally NEVER REPLIED. Money aside, a lack of accountability as a business and or business owner is the most disgraceful component of the situation for me. As a small business owner myself, I could never just ignore my clients like Gena. I have spoken with many other (former) clients of Palm Tax who the exact non-payment of payroll taxes and IRS incurred fees happened to so I have solace in knowing it was not just me, but also how unfortunate for all those people too? I'm sure they were or are being ignored just like me. Shame on Gena Jones and her poor / non-existent communication and total lack of accountability.

They did not file my taxes as promised after paying for my taxes. up till now, the IRS has no record of my filling and I cannot get hold of Gena jones to talk to me regarding this issue. They told me they had filed my taxes april 18 and I waited 6 wks and called, they finally gave excuses and said they filed for extension which i doubt they ever did, I was later told that they had to send it by mail for some reason which they never did. Now I have to find some one to fix the mess they did. please run.

We had an enjoyable experience here. We were greeted by a personable receptionist. Free hot popcorn too! Our tax preparer, Hanna Lee, was professional and extremely knowledgeable regarding our tax situation. She made recommendations regarding our sons continuing education. Steve and Arlene Shrader

I went last year for my taxes. I had been going to Palm Tax for a few years prior to this and it had been just ok. I sat in the office waiting for an hour after my appointment time while the other clients were sitting there chatting with the workers. I am not sure what the ordeal was. Eventually they apologized and hour later. I was very upset and that wasted my time as a single parent. I won't be going back this year unfortunately because the service was so bad. I have them two stars for the apology only. Other than that, there was nothing worth a star. It is unfortunate that I have to go to a new place and deal will all of that but at least I won't be sitting there for an hour again! Update: Went back to my old tax agency and they found that during the few years I went to Palm Tax I was filed incorrectly as single vs what should have been head of household. This happened with the previous owners and also new owners last year. So, I have to give one star. I would give zero if I could have. Check before you leave!
