I’ve rode at guest ranches across the Western US. I can truly state the Double R is at the top. ACCOMMODATIONS A+. The casitas are gorgeous, nothing like I’ve stayed in anywhere else. Includes nice sitting room, full kitchen, plus very large bedrooms and full baths DINING A. Every meal was very good. Wholesome food served piping hot. Kudos to Chef Karen, if you’re lucky, you might get her beef Wellington. STAFF A+. Everyone from owners Ron and Trina (owners) to Wil, my wrangler were WONDERFUL. I so enjoyed riding with Wil. Have to give a shout out to Renee from Wisconsin— same name and home state as my wife. HORSES A+++. The entire string is excellent. Well broke and responsive. Haven’t rode better LOCATION A+ Located in the beautiful Sonoita valley adjacent to thousands of acres of State and Federal land. Quiet, scenic, and best of all, only 75 miles from Tuscon. I called Mike today & he arrived within the hour. Our AC had gone out, and he popped out on a Sunday afternoon.
He quickly figured out what was wrong, swapped out the part, ran some tests, and was on his way. Fast, precise, and affordable! Plus, Mike was very personable and took the time to explain in layman's terms what was wrong, what needed to be done, and what to look out for in the future.

I boarded my dog with Christina for a partial day recently so my husband and I could visit Kartchner Caverns. She was incredibly kind and sensitive toward my somewhat shy and nervous dog. She showed me where Jelly Bean would be housed. And when I went to pick her up, Eden was holding her and keeping her happy, which I really appreciated. Im a diabetic usually have to have a physician do my nails. Im in Saint David. Dr in Tucson. Don’t like doctors. No compassion or thorough enough. Always complain that they don’t get paid enough to take extra time with nails. ANYWAY…. Went to Kayla’s in Benson. Cindy was my tech and did a great job. Didn’t hurt me. Took her time and so thorough. She is my new “go” to person. 5* for Cindy.
