Les Steen Hardwoods is an awesome place with an amazing selection of foreign and domestic hardwoods. It is a small shop with a lot of good wood. The staff is amazingly helpful, top knotch, and full of knowledge. They are extremely knowledgeable and genuinely passionate, always happy to give advice and help pick out the best wood and grain patterns. They are only open two days a week, but customers definitely plan to return.
Amazing selection of foreign and domestic hardwoods. I am new to woodworking and had a ton of questions, but every time I visit Les Steen's they seem more than happy to give me the advice and help me pick out the best wood and grain patterns for the project I'm working on.My first trip in, the owner spent over 15 minutes with me answering my (very beginner level) questions and explaining the characteristics of some of their wood. Everyone seems genuinely passionate about what they are selling and every time I need some boards for a new project, I look forward to my trip in.
Great place for Hardwoods. It's a small shop but, they have a lot of good wood to select from. The guys working there are top knotch. Extremely knowledgeable about wood species and the craft. They are only open two days a week but, if you plan it right, you can get pretty much anything you are looking for. Will definitely be back again.
You won't find another lumber store in the state with this quality of wood at this price! Les is the Man! Super helpful and knowledgeable to say the least. The experience alone is worth a visit. If you don't already have a woodworking project in mind before you walk in, you're sure to walk out of there inspired and looking forward to you're next trip back.
