I was really disappointed with how my recent call was handled. My dog has been a patient here for six years and has epilepsy with a history of cluster seizures, requiring long-term Keppra. I called because we were close to running out of medication and I’m currently snowed in while living two hours away.
I was told that because it had been over a year since he was last seen, he would need an office visit before any refill could be approved. I completely understood that and agreed he should be seen. I was told I could walk in the same day or the next day, but I explained that I physically could not get there due to weather conditions (snow/ice on roads and I live 2 hours away). I then asked to schedule an appointment for early the next week and requested a small bridge refill to prevent missed doses until that appointment. That request was still refused.
What was most difficult was how cold the interaction felt. There was no acknowledgment of the seriousness of his condition or concern about the risk of him running out of seizure medication, especially since they’ve known my dog for years. I understand policies exist, but when a pet has a serious chronic condition, lack of flexibility and compassion can leave owners feeling unsupported.
This was especially painful because I’ve had positive experiences here for years. Unfortunately, this interaction left me feeling I had to transition his care elsewhere. Thankfully, I was able to find another veterinarian who will be taking over his care long-term and who ensured his medication continued without interruption.

I have been bringing my dog here for eight years and even though we have moved 30 minutes away I still make the drive to come here because the staff and doctors are truly so wonderful. The doctors are knowledgeable and friendly. I always feel heard and they treat my dog as if it is their own. Highly recommend!

Since the husband and wife team sold the practice to a company this place sucks. It can not keep people. Try and call for an emergency well we can fit you in tomorrow. What can we do with our other appointments. Well you cancel them. I would understand if my appointment was canceled because of an emergency. What the hell ever happened to work late or not taking lunch. I want a vet that has compassion not some Corporation that doesn’t give a crap

The folks at Bowman Road were wonderful and were so sweet to baby Tomoe!! My 6 month old kitten came to me with ringworm and round worms and it’s been an uphill battle getting all of that sorted out. But it really felt like they cared and took their time with us and I’m so glad I was able to get in with Bowman Road!! <33

I've been using them for the last 7 years or so. They're a great veterinary clinic to use. All of the Dr's have been great, & their staff is professional, empathetic, kind, & knowledgeable. I've never had an issue with them. They make you feel comfortable to address any questions or concerns. The office is always sanitary and smells nice. They'll even provide your baby with a nice goodie bag. I'd recommend them to my friends/family for sure!

We got a new kitten a month ago and I decided to use a new vet. I chose Bowman Road Animal Clinic because of its location and reviews. We have been there twice and I really love it so far. For our first visit, we saw a vet who was helping fill in and she was very nice and very thorough. This week I took our kitten back for another round of vaccinations and we saw Dr. Lauren Schluterman. She was absolutely fantastic - so personable and answered all of my questions. She also called me right away after we left to let me know that we had accidentally been overcharged and that she would make sure our account was credited the amount that was overcharged. I also love Lee, one of the vet techs. We have seen him both visits. He’s so good with our kitten and it’s obvious that he loves animals. Bowman Road Animal Clinic has also proven to be less expensive than the vet we used previously. So far, I’m very impressed and glad I made the switch!
