“We just had a harrowing experience with our breaker box which is in our basement. Something shorted out and caused a system failure and also started a small fire in the box. Once I knew the fire was out, I started googling electrical companies to see if I could get someone to come out on a Saturday afternoon and fix the problem. Owens Electric actually had someone on call to answer the phone. Gabe was very professional and said as soon as he could locate one of his electricians he would get someone headed our way. It took only about an hour and two crew members were at our door. They were also very courteous and friendly. After introductions were made I took them to the basement to show them the problem. While I had been waiting I had removed the cover panel to make sure that there was nothing still burning. When I showed them the damage, they immediately began to list what they were going to need to fix the problem. Starting with a brand new Breaker Box. I left them to their work and they stayed until a bit after 10:30 PM. Wally, the lead on the project came upstairs to inform me that there was more that could be done because they needed a part that had to be purchased from a supplier, but he would be back in the morning about 7:30 AM to finish up. It took them another couple of hours, but when they were done they came up to tell me that they had completed the work necessary but that the power company would have to do an inspection because the power company had removed our meter and disconnected the power line from our home. He said that he would be back to label all the breakers after the work had been approved. Fortunately for us, CWL our power company sent someone out to re-install the power meter and reconnect the power line, but told me that I would need to get an inspector to come out Monday or they would have to remove the meter again. Thankfully, Gabe was on the ball and called the City Inspector's office Monday as soon as the office was open and they had someone out within the hour to do the inspection. The work passed. I called Gabe to let him know that the inspection had been done and the City Inspector said he would call CWL to let them know. Gabe said he would have Wally come back later in the day to label everything. All-in-all I would highly recommend Owens Electric for any electrical work you might need done. They are able to do both residential and commercial. Great Experience!“
