“I give the beds a 5 and the friendly staff a 5. (Most of them) However as someone who used to tan with them years ago when they had more than one location in the area to now, the wait times are the worst. On my days off I get there when they open the doors or I know I’ll sit for a good while if I want in the bed I want to use or I’ll end up using a bed I truly didn’t want because of it. Also, maybe the staff is trained to sell the lotions and products but some can be overwhelming and extremely pushy. I have lotion and on most days I put it on BEFORE I go tan because I want to be in and out. But every single time I check in something about lotions is being brought up to me. When I want a new lotion, I will ask and purchase it. Also, they don’t allow you to sign up online, yet when you sign up, they hand you an iPad with their website to sign up. It would make more sense to offer it online prior to someone walking through the door and then verify their identity and age on the website and upon the first visit check their ID. It took me 48 mins to sign up for a family plan and to go through the whole spew about the lotions that I didn’t want or need as I have my own, one that the sell right there. When the girl showed me a bottle that was over $110 dollars I said no and that it was pricy, especially because I have the same one and paid a lot less. I get it, they’re in the business to make money but the girl went on to say “Well maybe this is something else in your price range and I won’t show you these other ones because they’re even more expensive and you probably can’t afford it”. It was her undertone and the way she said it. Sweetheart I have the same lotion you just showed me and I didn’t spend what the salon is selling it for. Why would I purchase it from there when other places and direct websites sell it for much cheaper? I don’t know, I just didn’t like it. The sign up process took 48 mins before I even was placed in queue for a bed.and then waited another 30 mins for the bed I wanted. I kept telling the young lady I had my lotion but she kept pushing the lotion conversation during the whole sign up purchase. Also for what we pay a month, at sign up I think they should provide the first pair of eye protection and then the customer should be responsible for any future purchases of them. It seems like closing the other locations has put a lot of strain on this one location. All beds and other services they provide are great and I give them a 5 for that. The wait times (unless you’re there when the doors open) and the upselling is preventing me from giving a full 5 stars. I wish they wouldn’t have closed the other locations, I don’t think they were prepared for the amount of people they have utilizing this one location. I love the salon and I deal with wait times or just use a bed I wasn’t really wanting or I get there when the doors open. Evenings I’m coming straight from work, I know I’m going to wait 30+ mins or settle for a bed I don’t really want to use at that time.“
