“Ennen Eye Clinic – Personal Review - January,2026 I believe Dr. Rodriguez to be an excellent surgeon, thoroughly trained and with already a plethora of surgical experience. I noticed that he pays attention to details and is running his surgical unit with amazing efficiency without losing a caring aspect. He even visited me in the pre-op area about a pressing concern I had. The quality of my Ennen Eye Clinic experience exceeded all my expectations in comparison with 6 visitations at other clinics. I found the evaluations to be excellent, particularly the last exam before surgery. I also appreciated the more detailed post-visit reports on the Portal; however, communication with Dr. Rodriguez on the Portal was not available. Being an inquisitive person and concerned about getting the best individualized treatment possible, I learned much about the different aspects of cataract surgery. This resulted in many questions related to my individual condition and treatment options which I felt needed to be addressed. If these had been addressed in a timely and satisfactory manner it would have lessened much unrest on my part and shortened my path toward surgery. What made my decision especially difficult was due to the conflicting advice from previous surgeons regarding IOL choices. In the end, one must choose and trust. I believe Dr. Rodriguez will select the best and safest IOL for each individual eye. I’m happy with a traditional IOL with a near focus point selected by Dr. Rodriguez. I do not have to wear glasses for daily activities and even can thread a needle again without glasses. I see better watching TV with glasses and need them for driving for general away-from-home activities. I feel Fort Smith and surrounding area is enormously fortunate to have Dr. Rodriguez’ expertise in our midst. Godspeed to you Dr. Rodriguez! PS: For the more inquisitive person, I suggest a written, pre-operative, patient-oriented, more detailed description of the individual eye conditions and treatment plan be made to help foster patient involvement, alleviate patient unrest and advance mutual decision making.“
