When my father passed so unexpectedly I was and still am completely broken and and so very lost. I had never planed a funeral or known anything about the process. Wetumpka Memorial Funeral Home, Mr.Bill particularly held my hand and walked me and my family through the process and was so very patient and understanding. The compassion and care they took with my fathers funeral was so admirable and I could thank them a million times and I still wouldn’t feel like it was enough.
My life will never be the same without my dad and you guys made an extremely hard and heartbreaking process a little easier by just being who you are, genuine, caring, and it felt so personal to you. Thank you so very much for all that you’ve done to help us in this process.

As soon as the financial part was taken care of, they threw out everything we planned for my big sister's graveside service and handled it however they wanted to. They assigned our guests as pallbearers, when we had given them a list of who would be doing it. Had the few of us not ran to the casket, our right to carry my sister to her final resting place would've been taken from us. As it was my younger sister, who had to step away for a moment while people were still being seated. I kept repeating that we had to wait for her but he kept telling me no, we had to go. We were given no choice by this man who knew absolutely nothing about us or our beliefs and apparently knew nothing about our arrangements. We had not even seen him before the day of the funeral. Even my mother heard him refer to my deceased sister as a "heavy one". While standing right next her, as she's grieving the loss of her eldest daughter. All of these things seem small and petty. But they're things that can never be fixed or done over. However, they can be avoided. Do not use this company, if you truly care about your loved ones.

My mother specifically left instructions to have her service at Wetumpka Memorable Funeral Home. Bill Barrett gave me 100% of his attention. He thought of everything, made suggestions and reminded me of my of things I had forgotten.I was able to reach him within minutes. The service under his direction went perfectly smooth from the surroundings, music and slideshow of pictures of my Mom. The company has done a lot of renovations and its a warm, comfortable place to pay tribute to your family and friends. I can't thank Bill Barrett enough.
