Your Kid's Urgent Care in Vestavia Hills, AL is a wonderful and clean facility with friendly and knowledgeable staff, including Board Certified Pediatricians, Nurse Practitioners, and Medical Assistants. They provide personalized and convenient care to all children, ensuring individual and precise attention. Parents are highly impressed with the positive attitudes and patience of the staff, who are great with young children. Although there may be wait times due to the number of sick children seeking care, the staff's professionalism and helpfulness are commendable. The urgent care facility is open on weekends and holidays, providing much-needed care when other facilities are closed.
The staff here is always so kind. I will say, there is a doctor we have seen a couple of times at this practice who makes me a bit nervous. It is an older gentleman… communication was difficult, the pharmacy wasn’t filling the prescription he called in because they couldn’t understand what he said in the voicemail, and when I finally got the prescription, the name was incorrect because he told them incorrectly. There’s nothing at all wrong with his character, he is a very nice man, but not as “with it” as I would prefer in a doctor.
We went on a Sunday afternoon after being cancelled from another urgent care. We got there 30 minutes before they closed, and they took such great care of my daughter. They had her swabbed and at the pharmacy in 20 minutes to make sure we got there before the pharmacy closed! Everyone was so efficient and helpful!
I have brought my medically complex/special needs toddler here multiple times and each experience has been great! We’ve never had a long wait time, and are always seen quickly and efficiently. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the nurse practitioner is so kind and knowledgeable. Truly a great resource for parents in the area!
