The Student Health Center and Pharmacy provides a great experience for its visitors. Making an appointment is quick and easy, and the staff is friendly and caring. The facility is clean and well-maintained, with modern equipment and minimal wait times. The healthcare professionals are knowledgeable, helpful, and take the time to listen to patients' concerns, providing thorough diagnoses and a range of treatment options. Overall, the health center offers top-notch care, making it a great resource for students on campus.
I’ve been going here consistently in my 3.5 years at UA and have never had a bad experience. Susan Fontaine, Kimberly Jones, and Peggy Fogg are some of the best providers I’ve ever seen whether for a medication refill, exam, or procedure. Everyone has always been super friendly from check-in to check-out. I work part-time as a medical receptionist outside of being a student, so I know a bit about how healthcare clinics are run, and they definitely do a great job here!
Visited the SHC, once last year and so far once this year and always have a great experience. Making an appointment is so quick and easy and the staff is so friendly and great! So glad to have a nice and small health center on campus that cares!
I've been a UA student for the last 4 years and have had to come here many times because of the annual bama plague. Usually I have a good experience, but I came here once for a lady problem, and the nurse who took me back to the patient room was extremely rude, wouldn't let me finish my sentences, and ended up making me cry. I was in a very vulnerable state and she was not nice to me until I became visibly upset, which should never be the case. I have a history of ovarian and breast cancer in my family, and when I come to seek medical care out of caution for primary prevention, I shouldn't be made to feel the way that nurse made me feel.
