I hired Jim Alexander to fix a drainage issue for a retaining wall that was not completed properly by the house's previous owner. His crew installed gravel and a masonry sealer on the cinder block. They did not, however, install a membrane behind the wall to cover the gaps in the curved masonry structure, even though I discussed that as likely necessary from an earlier conversation I'd had with the mason who'd originally built the wall for the previous owner.
