“I'm giving Squeeze five stars because Heather was an outstanding massage therapist.

Her skill set, intuition, and genuine concern for my overall well-being were evident from the moment the session began. She gave a truly excellent massage. Therapists like Heather are what keep clients coming back.

The spa itself is beautiful. The modern aesthetic is inviting, the complimentary cucumber water and nuts offered are a nice touch, and the hot towels on my feet at the beginning of the session were wonderful.

That said, I do have some feedback about the overall experience. The biggest drawback is the value. The massage was priced at $130 for a 50-minute session. However, the session was actually only 45 minutes. I had a $30-off code, bringing the cost down to $100 (I paid $125 after tipping), and even at that price it still felt expensive for only 45 minutes of hands-on bodywork. I actually timed the massage, and it was a full 45 minutes despite my attempt to remain silent before, during, and after the session. If you talk to your therapist at intake, you reduce your own hands-on time. I can't imagine paying $150 (with tip) for 45 minutes of hands-on time.

Unfortunately, 45 minutes just isn't enough time for a full body Swedish massage. The session felt rushed compared to a true 60-minute massage, which you can often get from an independent massage therapist for a similar price. I couldn't help but think how incredible Heather's work would be if she had the time to settle into a full hour-long session.

The therapist doesn't immediately enter the room once you hit the ready button and this is pretty standard at any chain. This has been my experience at Massage Envy and Hand & Stone as well. I actually shouted out that I was ready despite my turning the light on and checking that I had done it correctly.

A couple of small comfort notes: there was a fan blowing for the entire massage, which made me cold at times. If you tend to run cold, I'd recommend asking them to turn it off. They also place what feels like tissue paper over your eyes, but it doesn't block the very bright wall light well. The other massage chains I've visited, like Hand and Stone offer a very dark room.

At the end of the day, you can have the prettiest finishes, the fanciest décor, and all the little extras, but if the therapist isn't good, the massage experience won't be either.

Heather absolutely delivered an exceptional massage, despite the constraints of working at a chain, and these five stars are for her.

I only wish she were able to provide that same outstanding work in a slower paced 60-minute session.

I would come back just to see Heather! I recommend that if you book at Squeeze, you book an 80-minute session so the therapist can really dive into their work and an 80-min session gives you some talk time if you have an issue you'd like addressed or you don't want to feel rushed.

I actually tried to book an 80-minute massage, because chains tend to be the same, but they only had a 50-minute massage opening.

If you live in this area of Huntsville, getting the monthly package of $95/50 minutes is a much better value, especially because your therapist doesn't have to engage as much as they get to know you. $95 is a better price for a 40-50 minute massage, but not $130 in my humble opinion. If you do have the budget for a monthly massage, check Heather out. She was the best part of my experience.”
