The list is way too long! Please go to a real hospital if you have anything more than a common cold. They are absolutely the most incompetent bunch of people I believe I have ever witnessed in a medical center!

I went in for treatment last night with a migraine and everything went AMAZING. Only thing I am highly pissed about is I went to get a X-ray done, the nurses took off my jewelry before doing the X-ray, when I got ready to leave I didn't get my jewelry back, I call and NOBODY knows anything. Two gold chains that my late father gave to me. I am highly posses about this. If I knew my jewelry would've been stolen from the hospital I would have went somewhere else! this the second time this has happened. Why steal from patients?

I've had very mixed experiences here. Overall though, my experiences have not been good. In January of 2021, I got COVID pneumonia. My oxygen saturations were dropping at home and I was struggling to breathe. The nurses refused to do any further testing on me as I had returned twice with worsening symptoms and basically told me to stop coming in, although I had come in on a nurse's advice line telling me to. I came in for a dog bite in April of this year, to which they told me to leave it open to air. I ended up with a very painful infection. I also came in once after waking up unable to walk. They did an x-ray and ultrasound and sent me home without any answers and still unable to walk (and with no assistive device.) I later learned I have a vascular tumor in my leg, which should have been visible on the x-ray AND the ultrasound. Recently, I broke a rib. They gave me pain meds meant for HEADACHES. The doctor in charge when I returned (after realizing this, and was in excruciating pain) was baffled. I discovered I had an old fracture in my lower spine by reading my CT report, because no doctor cared to mention it to me and told me my CT was clear. Overall, really bad hospital that only cares about freeing up beds and treating patients like they're being dramatic.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST... I cannot begin to explain how bad the treatment and staff was (with the exception of one lonely young nurse along with a Nursing supervisor trying to do what was right), but it was too late... they discharged me with no remedy for why I came in, left me in more pain than when I arrived, told me, "You're free to go," with blood pressure of 205/110... me, a patient that has had two strokes, Colon/Bladder/Skin Cancer, One HA, Two heart surgeries, Extensive Glaucoma history.... And on lots of medication Dr Chisholm, my first provider left @ 7:00 telling me that if my symptoms did not subside that my throat needed to be scoped and assess the extent of damages, the night time nurse said the same thing and told we that I would be kept and observed for 4-6 hours. Only 20 minutes later as my condition declined, Dr Kelly blasted through the door saying, "Okay, let's get you out of here!" I was dumbfounded... I told him what Dr Chisholm said and he responded with, "Well, Poison Center said you are good to go!" I told him, "Well Poison Center is not here!" He became argumentative and walked out on me shutting the door when I was in mid sentence...! I never saw him again accept when he entered my room by mistake and immediately turned around. I then received some pain meds and then listened to the monitor alarm for nearly an hour as the BP CYCLE KEPT FAILING. Then a different Nurse, Katie Pike, came in and started spouting discharge instructions... I could not believe it... I was in severe pain, had a raging headache, BP WAS EXTREMELY elevated and I was dizzy and nauseous.... I again asked what was going on and she said that I was good to go and could leave. Never mind my issues and the elevated BP and Headache, which I never have... She stated that my BP was fine "And your Cardiac Enzymes are perfect, just perfect...! And Poison control said you are fine... I told her I want to speak to the Charge Nurse. She said, "I AM THE CHARGE NURSE!" She then made me sign paperwork and said I was free to go... I HAD MORPHINE 2.5 hours earlier and Tordal 30 minutes prior... I had a fall risk Yellow band on and she was going to let me walk out of there and drive myself home, I guess. No one, not a one of the staff even reviewed my current medications. Nor was she nor the Dr concerned about my complex medical history of strokes, cancer multiple (over 35) surgeries or the fact that I still had a raging headache, nausea, chest pain, nor the fact that my presenting symptoms of my injury/incident had degraded. I asked for patient rep and she eventually showed up... She took my Blood pressure and it was 205/110... She was alarmed and went straight to Dr Kelly. She then came back and said that he did not care and was fine with discharging me. I called my wife and she came and got me and we headed to Southeast MED CEN where my cardiologist practiced and I was confident in their ER Staff. I only went to Enterprise Med Cen because they were close to our house... NEVER AGAIN.... There Nurse Pike and Dr Kelly were rude, disrespectful, arrogant, condescending and had the bed side manners of Atilla The Hun...! I will be filing a complaint against both of them with AL licensing and Nursing Boards and notifying Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals about the abysmal level of care at EMC ER. As a healthcare provider, manager and leader for close to 5 decades, I have never seen such pathetic standards of NON-CARE... I would have fired both these providers on the spot and reported both to their respective licensing agencies... Dr. Tony R. Franklin, Ph.D.

My sister had COVID-19 and she has asthma and was having a panic attack because she couldn't breathe. They refused to test her because she "didn't have enough symptoms" and told her she was being "unnecessary". A nurse asked her if she was on drugs and they were all snappy and rude. She tested positive the next day after we went somewhere else for a test and had to get a breathing machine. On another occasion, she went in to get an ultrasound after a positive pregnancy test as she has had a cyst in the past which can give false positives. She was in a lot of pain and it was a Saturday so no specialty or OGBYN were open until Monday. They refused to do an ultrasound or any additional testing after she tested positive saying "it wasn't medically neccesary" and when she insisted they said "that's not how it works. We can't change it for you. " and laughed. The cyst ruptured the next day and she had to get surgery. I went in after nearly passing out at work, the left side of my body going numb, and other things and was given fluid for "being dizzy". I was there over 4 hours and no other tests were done except basic lab tests and they said I was dehydrated. I was originally referred to the hospital because the clinic I went too believe I had a stroke. I reiterated that to the nurse there who wrote down "dizziness" and "numbness" in my chart and was extremely rude and short tempered. A few times we have gone, we were seen almost immediately but other times it was hours before we were seen. My sister originally tried to go in the day before on Friday but was there 4 hours and ended up leaving before she was seen as she still was estimated another 2 hour wait. Everyone I've ever talked to, says How terrible this hospital is and that they would rather go to a quick care place or to Dothan than here. They also did not enforce COVID guidelines. They have a temperature station set up but no nurse is there and guests walk in without doing it. It's only there so they can say they are taking protective measures. They don't record the temperatures or even take them themselves.

If I could leave zero reviews, I would. PLEASE, PLEASE if you or a family member need medical attention, especially if there is a chance you/they will end up in ICU go somewhere else. Flowers Hospital in Dothan is owned by the same people as medical center enterprise, so please be mindful of that if choosing to use them instead. 2 nurses in ICU, one named Brenda and the other named Deborah are HORRIBLE human beings who hate their jobs. My Grandmother who was in ICU and just passed away in there had these two women as her nurses at times (of course, nurses rotate rooms/patients). My mom who was my Grandmother's medical decision maker had to deal with these 2 "nurses" on multiple occasions. They both talked down to my mother, both had attitudes the entire time/everytime we had to deal with them. Brenda even implied one time my mother was a bad daughter at one point. Both women are CLEARLY there for a paycheck and not the welfare of the patient. Deborah was by FAR the worse nurse we have EVER dealt with. She never spoke without an attitude and/or sighing. I can not believe Deborah has a job taking care of sick patients. I really hope my review will save someone and/or some family the heartache we went through with these horrible nurses. ICU patients and their families should be treated with more respect. They are already going through enough. Also to add, Deborah proudly proclaimed she's been there for 37 years (and I'm guessing treating all her patients the same way), so I know this review isn't going to change anything and these 2 nurses will keep their jobs, meaning you or your family will risk being treated the same way if you go here and end up in ICU.

My wife was having low blood pressure, dizziness and weakness symptoms. We took her by ambulance to Medical Center Enterprise Al. This was on a Thursday about 11:00 on the morning. They admitted her to the hospital through the Emergency Room. Today is Sunday. Four days later and I cannot get any doctors or nurses to call me back about her condition. She told me they gave her a blood transfusion for her anemia. Her potassium and magnesium levels are dropping and some one I talked to said she could take pills and drink potassium containing drinks to raise it again. My wife had most of her pancreas, her spleen, adrenal gland and a piece of her stomach removed in January. Just letting everyone know to avoid this hospital like the plague if your love ones need medical care. Most uncaring, uninformed bunch of amateurs I have ever seen on a medical facility. I have worked in hospitals and we always kept the family members aware what we were doing or going to do for their loved ones. This hospital has shown complete disregard for my concerns or questions about my wife's health. My insurance carrier, Blue Cross Blue Shield, tried to call and find out what was going on and they were placed on hold after about twenty rings and then hung up on. I get more information from my veterinarian about my dogs than I get from this joke of a hospital. I'm getting her transferred to a real hospital in Dothan, Alabama. Don't use this hospital if you care about your loved ones. It's obvious they don't care. Oh yeah... You can bet your ass they will not have a problem contacting me about the money I will owe them. Good luck getting a dime from me.

Spent 2.5 hours in the ER waiting room. Finally got back to a room where the nurse came in and basically bitched me out for not eating and then passing out saying I put so many people in danger by driving (I was not driving when I passed out since I was sitting and usually just standing will cause me to faint) when not being able to eat and then assumed that I didn't eat on purpose (which is NOT the case). The doctor came in and asked what time I passed out, I told him and he said "you just now came in?" And I said no we've been in the waiting room all this time. He seemed very surprised. I was there 7 hours in total. The ONLY reason I'm giving 2 stars is because of the friendly doctor.

This place is horrible, I'd rather die on the way to Dothan than go to this poor excuse for a hospital. I went into the ER for treatment. Upon leaving, I went to check out and to pay my $200.00 copay right then (It was actually $170.00). They denied taking payment stating they would just bill me. I told them I would like to pay now, they refused. Thirty days later I received a bill, within the next 15 days I received a letter stating my bill was sent to collections 45 days into billing!!! So I now have a collection in my credit, though I paid the bill it still will show. I have spoken to others as well, only to learn the exact same thing has happened to them as well. Now for treatment. As stated before I checked into the ER, with a room full of 2 people. I waited about an hour in serious pain. I expect this from any ER, so that's not a deal breaker. I get to the room and all is going well so far. The nurse came in to give an IV, but keep in mind I am an avid weight lifter and exercise quite often. I also have veins like fire hoses as the blood bank states. They are huge, easy to tap into and great blood flow. This idiot shoved the needle straight through to the other side of my vein bursting it. My blood flow is great so it immediately swells full of blood. She tries my hand then shoves it straight through and the same result. I've never had this happen. So to the other arm, she starts wiggling the needle around!!! I winced a little in pain, and this woman actually said, "stop being a baby" I was furious!!! Then upon returning she said twice more, "how the baby doing" trying to tease me. I'm not afraid of needles or anything, the nurse had horrible bedside manner.
