Worth a half hour (or more) of your time to walk through it. I would have your phone handy to Google some of the names and read about the parts they played in the creation of Birmingham, AL. Beautiful gravesites, beautiful trees, but my time was cut short by the call of nature. The little building in the middle might have a public restroom, unsure.

This is a classic old cemetery with Civil War era buried. I like to visit there for the historical experience. There are many 'stops' there to collect one's thoughts and also walking the hills there is just like a little 'gym' workout. Being right next to downtown Birmingham, this is a true gem of a cemetery.
