I had a marquise cut diamond solitaire engagement ring that my husband wanted to have reset for our 30th anniversary. He told me to decide how I wanted it set, but I really had no idea. We live in Tuscaloosa and went to a couple of jewelry stores here. They basically just told me to try to find a setting and they could have it made but were not really eager to help. In fact, one of things that my husband did want to “contribute” to the design was that he thought it would be nice to incorporate yellow diamonds. We brought several inherited pieces in to see whether anything was worth selling. While we were somewhat disappointed in their real value, Mr. Nadler took the time to examine and value each piece carefully and to explain how he calculated values. No big deal, as we don't necessarily need to sell them. He was obviously busy but did not rush us or brush us off. In the end we had one other piece we almost forgot to show him, and he paid significantly more for that than we expected. Everyone there was very friendly and accommodating. I believe the great reputation Levy's has is well deserved.
Met with Jerry to purchase graduation gift for granddaughter , and he spent more than an hour showing us anything we asked to see and try on. Found a beautiful ring that will be a reminder of college graduation for years to come. Thank you Jerry!
