I Started shopping here a couple yrs back. Great selection if vintage electric guitars, strats, tele's, lp, SG,. Also has a nice selection of vintage Martin's & Gibson Accoustics. Awesome selection of unique amps. The owner is by far the fairest guitar store when pricing gis used and new equipment. The more you buy the better deals you will get. Have loved Highland Music since the late 80’s when I would admire the vintage silvertones, and wish I could afford the Les Pauls. Still love to go by there today to admire the guitars and classic amps.

One of those guitar stores where part of the selection is extremely particular, for those who have more niche taste, and the rest is padded with mainstream guitars (Strats/LPs/telecasters etc). Not a bad thing, definitely my kind of store. Owner is amiable, staff are always willing to chat, and just about everyone you meet in there is knowledgeable (staff + patron alike). My only gripe is that the bass selection is a little lacking and the amps are usually nothing special, but still my favorite guitar shop in Birmingham.
