Dante Jelks did a great job with my mother’s funeral. The entire process was smooth, elegant, and handled with genuine care. I’m truly grateful for the professionalism and compassion shown during such a difficult time.

The employee of this funeral home is so messy! The woman who works behind the desk in the second room to the left. She got on the phone calling up our family member telling them the we ( the deceased mother & sister) came down there to see why they had not released the death certificate of my sister, this was the second time my mother had gone there, she spoke to my mother in such an ugly tone I almost lost it in there! Then she said that the doctor had not signed it but come to find out they were supposed to send the death certificate to the health department 5 days after the burial if the doctor has signed it or not, THIS IS THE LAW IN ALABAMA, and by them being in the business I knew that they knew this. My sister's burial was 2 months ago & they were holding her death certificate! She had even told the health department this and they repeated to us, they knew this was a lie also! Then she tells me that she's over some board to keep me from asking more questions! Then she said that if my attorney calls she will tell him the same thing( Knowing full well she was telling lies) she knew it was supposed to be released already! They were made to release her death certificate the same day I went down there! Because I call the State Of Alabama! Ask & Know the Law! I will still be contacting my attorney!!!

Jelks Funeral Home completed my father's service. EVERYTHING, AND I MEAN EVERTHING was TOP-NOTCH!! Some funeral homes overdo the makeup on the deceased, but not Jelks!! My father looked soooo natural and peaceful!! Dante and his staff is professional and caring. We are forever grateful to Dante and Jelks Funeral Home staff, thank you all!!

My experience was great! They exceeded my expectations. Recently I had the experience of working with Dante Jelks funeral home. during a difficult time of planning my mother’s homegoing. I cannot express enough gratitude for the compassionate and professional service we received. Dante himself helped to ease the heavy burden by providing a comfortable environment, guiding me through each step of the process with compassion and patience.Not to mention the affordable packages !

Your compassionate approach and professionalism were truly comforting during a time of profound sadness. The empathy and support you extended to my mother were invaluable. You worked with her so kindly, and I know that meant the world to her as she said goodbye to him.
