this is a really hard review to write because when I went through a really bad miscarriage that almost killed me dr shassberger literally saved my life so this review does not come lightly. I think shassberger is very intelligent, I have enjoyed my conversations with him in the past. I just feel like somewhere along the way the ball has been dropped when it came to my care. I had come to dr shassberger for my yearly pap smear this past year and informed him about how being intimate was extremely painful and how I was having pain before my cycles that was not normal. he felt around down there and then I got a 5-10 minute lecture in front of his students about how my husband needs to "prepare me better" and how if I am not lubricated enough it can cause it to be painful. this hasn't been the first time that when I have brought an issue to him I felt like I was dismissed. I still clearly gave him a second chance. not to be so tmi but since I was embarrassed in front of his students we are going to be an open book right now. I feel like if we are seeing a dr for sexual matters we know the difference between not being lubricated enough and actual pain. my gut feeling was telling me something was off we had been trying to get pregnant since 22 so I decided to go see a fertility specialist. I tell the specialist what I was feeling and I get a saline ultrasound which he saw a septum looking thing in my uterus. it turned out to be scar tissue and the specialist also stated from all your symptoms it sounds like endo. I had a 45 min convo and one other appt with this specialist and I feel like he listened to me more than my gynecologist did. I am talking from 2022-24 because again this wasnt the first time I had mentioned my body being "off". Thursday I had surgery, a hysteroscopy and a laproscopy.. I have stage 2 endometriosis... that sounds alot bigger than not being lubricated enough to me. i just would have been thankful if my issue was taken more seriously.I am so angry. I came to the professional I needed to when I was in pain. I literally in the past cried myself to sleep from being in pain on bad nights because I thought it was all in my head. At this point I don't even want an apology I just want you as a dr to do better. to your future patients because I know you can. I am sure you get a lot of dramatic patients but patients don't go to a dr hoping something is wrong with them. we are going to you because we want to feel normal again. I hope you genuinely see this and listen to your patients from here on out. you are human and mess up but this is unacceptable and I will no longer be your patient

Dr. Shassberger, is a heaven sent doctor, on the first appointment he listened to my concerns. And jumped right away into action to see what kept causing me to have lower right pain. Turns out I have endometriosis. A total hysterectomy was what was best in my situation, and he walked me through everything. What really touched my heart was the fact that he asked me “can I say a-prayer with you?” Right before my surgery. And he held my hand while, I was getting put under anesthesia. And I just remember him saying you are in good hands. I spent a night in the hospital. And the next morning, he went to go check on me. And shout out to Mrs. Christy the front desk lady. She is so kind and sweet! And her “have a nice day baby” makes my day!! Over all the entire staff is super friendly. I recommend this office to anyone, whether you want to start a family or closing down the baby factory.

I have been going here over a year now, and i do not recommend at all. My doctor was amazing but the office staff and nurse have horrible communication. During my pregnancy i was told they would call me with my results and they would never call me, i had to call them. Also i’ve been asking for a prescription refill since october 10, i let them know i needed a refill by the end of the week and nothing was called in. i then called the office twice the week after and no one left a message. I then called last friday told them AGAIN and nothing. I then called yesterday which was monday, they said they would leave a note and didn’t. I then called this morning and they said they were so busy yesterday so they couldn’t get to it, and tried to brush it off. when i tried to explain to them i was frustrated they kept cutting me off saying please let them speak. I have now been without my medication for over half a month. If your looking for a staff to make you a priority I DONT RECOMMEND. I’ve been very patient with them, but nothing has been done, nor do they care to let me speak to the doctor when i ask to explain all this to him.
