    I’ve gone here for years and have had the same continuous issue, the doctors rush you out as fast as possible. The whole point of going to these places is to ensure you get the correct prescription and then get your contacts/glasses based on that. I constantly have had to tell them to slow down and let me figure out which phoropter lens is making my vision clearer or worse. They act like it’s a drive through window with a 5-10min limit, and then you get stuck with the wrong prescription and nonstop headaches until your next exam. (Which will probably lead to the same issue)

    I have used Americas Best for years now and this is the first time I’ve had an experience like this . It was absolutely awful and extremely frustrating! The doctor was great. He was quick and had my prescription on point. The interaction after that was quite unpleasant. Tlady helping me was Adriana. She did not explain the breakdown of what I was paying for, only asked how I was paying and She interrupted me constantly. It wasn’t until I went to pick up my glasses that finally ruined me from wanting to return to this place. My glasses did not fit, which was no fault to Adriana, but during the adjustments she kept on making me feel like I was wrong about what needed to be adjusted on my glasses when she was not understanding and so I guess she got irritated with me, she interrupted the girl sitting next to us that was helping another customer to help me because she couldn’t get it figured out the little girl that proceeded to help and her best, but was uncomfortable with the adjustments that were needing to be made so I suggested that I change frames when I picked a different frame the Adriana girl had said well didn’t she try on the other frames and when I confirmed that I did and said that the ones that I had tried on that were displayed did fit a little better she had told the other little girl to see if I wanted the frames off display and I said absolutely not. I paid for new frames so I’m getting new frames but because those frames could not be adjusted and I picked new ones. They told me they’d have to call me back the next day which nobody did. I had to call and of course Adriana picked up the phone and she said oh I remember you and I said yes I was supposed to receive a call and never did. She said well I guess my manager forgot to call you back. I was trying to ask questions about my insurance and a refund for the difference in the frames but like she did the day of my appointment, she kept interrupting me would not let me speak so I finally hung up and I called corporate. I’m hoping that I can get this resolved and get my glasses soon. I’m not saying that this location is bad and I probably will return but only if I don’t not have deal with Adriana because the doctor was good, but this girl should not work anyone in customer or patient care.

    Showed up at 0900 for my 0920 am appointment on a Wednesday morning and there was no one at the store. Doors locked. Lights out. Waited for 30 minutes well past my arrival and appointment time. Called AB support to obtain NO useful information on why the store is not open as expected. Lost a day of work and my time for this and still did not get my exam or glasses! Wouldn't recommend!

    Everyone was very polite and helpful. I did not have a long wait time and was able to leave with correct contacts. Normally out of stock for my prescription strength. Much better experience here than at the Hoover location. Glad I swapped to the alabaster location!

    Came in and immediately they saw to my issue. I broke my glasses and the General Manager Toni Oyer got right to work making sure she could make my glasses as good as new. Had a full conversation with me and even made me laugh while she worked. All the employees were awesome. Bunch of young nice ladies in there, all with bright smiles. Even the Doctor came out who just got done examining a patient, came and laughed with us too. Only place I’ll ever go to get new glasses, eye exam/prescription, or just a good hospitality environment from great Alabaster people. I will be back for my next prescription update to see their doctor that they’re fully back!

    Had a great experience at America’s Best in Alabaster! The staff was super friendly and helpful, and Dr. was awesome—really took the time to explain everything. The whole visit was quick, easy, and stress-free. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great eye care! 👓
    I found the cutest pair or glasses with the help of staff! 😊
