Many years ago, when we lived in Fairbanks, my daughter suddenly lost most of her sight. Dr. Deramus was puzzled by the cause and sent us to a tropical eye disease specialist. Somehow she had contracted a tropical eye disease in Fairbanks at 20 below zero. It was treated and her sight is fine now.
Best eye doctor in town, really he gives it to you straight and is not just trying to sell you products like the others around town. He is a retired eye surgeon and really knows his stuff.
