When I showed up at Chris Kyle, I was scared. I didn't want the help; I just wanted to be left alone. Once I started to accept my situation (which took a few weeks), being there, surrounded by so many different people with different stories but similar situations, I started to feel like I wasn't alone. After the first month, I knew I wasn't alone. I went in feeling hopeless, and now I'm probably the best I've ever been. The entire program was amazing, the staff is phenomenal, I've made lifelong friends, and the all-around support while there truly has changed my life. Thank you to everyone involved in my care.
I cannot say enough good things about this place it’s a lifesaver for veterans, active duty and their spouses struggling with substance abuse and mental health. The staff here is so friendly and helpful. The food is amazing and the chef is very friendly lady as well. If they are not able to get you the help you need which is unlikely then they will be able to find other treatment centers that can help you.
I have struggled with PTSD, Polytrauma, TBI, and over 25 surgeries from my military and paramilitary service. A large portion of my life has been spent in the US Air Force, US Army and a several alphabet agencies including DAC DCMA and the SAC formerly the SAD of the National Clandestine Service.
