Dr. Sandford and her team were awesome. They played music I liked to comfort me. They were attentive and understood how scared I was for a biopsy. Dr. Sandford explained things, went above and beyond to explain things that were related (like hormone replacement therapy side effects). When the local anesthetic was not fully working, Dr. Sanford noticed the slightest change in my demeanor and reacted swiftly and appropriately. She stopped the procedure to administer more local anesthetic stating "we're not into torture in this office". I'm not sure what happened in other poor reviews as everyone has their own experience but for me this doctor was great.
I went in to see Dr. Sandford regarding a lumpectomy, and upon her examination, another lump was discovered that required a biopsy. Which she just performed this morning. Upon reading some of the reviews on here, I wanted to come on here to say, that I was treated with absolute KINDESS and RESPECT from her, and her staff. I know everyone is scared as I am going to see a breast surgeon. Maybe Dr. Sandford is a little more straight-forward than what some people are use to, but honestly, I appreciate that quality. Especially in the face of potentially dealing with a life changing event as breast cancer, I want a straight-forward honest doctor, not a sugar-coated patronizing...read full review
Dr. Sandford did an amazing job at removing my breast cancer. She was very knowledgeable and you could tell she stays up to date on studies to guide you in making the best decision. Also everyone in her office was kind and caring as well. I am happy I went to her.
