Amazing community and energy!
VO2 Max has been a huge and organic part of Grande Prairie's health and fitness scene for decades now. Years ago, when someone I recommended needed a 3rd party fitness assessment in order to satisfy a legal requirement, they promptly did an excellent job. And as the young man was fatherless and being raised by his grandmother, they did it at no charge. That's the kind of caring owners they are. Very professional and highly recommended for a strong base in fitness. As owner of another gym in the same city, I say this without any obvious bias.
A few months ago, I was prescribed a medication that changed my life. However, the medication comes with a high risk of osteoporosis. To mitigate this risk, the specialist recommended I start resistance training immediately. That's how I ended up at V02max, although I'm a chubby, unathletic 41-year-old woman.
Honestly, I don't think I will ever be a fan of working out. However, the community at V02max makes my three visits a week tolerable and, sometimes, even enjoyable. Walking into the gym, you'll be amazed to see how many women of all ages attend. You'll also notice that every staff member, including the trainers, is approachable and friendly.
