Dr. Sherry Van Boxtel and her team are very professional and compassionate. They took good care of my 21-year-old senior cat Bobo until the end of his time. Dr. Van Boxtel is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in dealing with geriatric issues, especially on interactions of multiple medications, and medication efficacy on senior cats.
When my cat was sick, their office constantly followed up to keep track on the progress and to answer any questions we had. Dr. Van Boxtel was very patience in explaining our concerns, working with us to develop the best management plan, and sent us information in advance to help us prepare the process. They were also flexible and accommodative with their schedule.
The care doesn’t stop when my cat died. They sent us a card offering their condolences and even made a donation to the Edmonton Humane Society in memory of Bobo.
Definitely will go back to Dr. Van Boxtel when we are ready to be pet parents again.

We are beyond thankful to the amazing doctors, techs and staff at Guardian. Our girl Chloe is home and recovering from Her surgery. Through all of the emotions and stress, all of the staff were so calm and sympathetic explaining everything and answering any questions or concerns we had. I hope no one needs emergency care for their fur babies, but if you do, I 💯 recommend VCA Guardian Animal clinic. ❤️❤️
I haven't seen the vets here directly, but this clinic is always willing to fill my DVM's medication scripts for my palliative girl so I don't have to drive so far to pick up meds that aren't as commonly stocked. I hope the team knows how appreciative I am that they offer pharmacy services. Quick turn around time, and the front desk is so friendly. Thank you!
