Scott Arthur Millwork went over and beyond my expectations on our house renovations. When researching companies to complete our kitchen and main floor renovations we came across Scott Arthur Millwork and their flawless reputation here in Alberta caught our interest. The first thing I noticed was actually the reviews online and the fact that people were willing to sit down and write in depth reviews of the outstanding work they completed. The photos alone speak volumes, but to me the relationship with the company is just as important. The work that they do is truly an art form that I would personally not trust anyone but the professional staff at Scott Arthur. From the initial contact with owner, Shawn Tiltgen, my wife and I were impressed with his experience and knowledge in the industry. We met his team for the first time at the shop (which is impressive all on its own) and had an opportunity to sit down and discuss our potential project with them all. We found Scott Arthur price wise came in higher then other quotes, however seeing their shop and discussing with them, their process, materials and the quality of the end result pretty much solidified our decision. There was no question after that initial meeting with Shawn and his team, that they were for us. Over the period of design Shawn and Will came out to our house numerous times to look at the site, take measurement and this gave us a chance to discuss details that we wanted. They made recommendations based on previous project experience that in the end, made our kitchen the dream we were looking for. Throughout the project, whenever we had questions or requested changes Shawn and his team were there and always ensured that we were happy. The quality and craftsmanship of the cabinets were outstanding. Will, in the shop is not only a master at his craft but flexible with change; when we decided in the middle of our project to modify cabinetry for our liking. Just another nod to the great relationship and trust we had with this company. Moving on to the install, once again by no surprise the installers were masters of their trade. Although we had not previously met with them, they were professional throughout the whole process. We were still living onsite (in our basement) and with two young children. They were respectful to our requests and ensured the site was clean and safe throughout the renovations. Also worth mentioning, we had brand new hardwood flooring installed previous to the cabinet install and they ensured extra caution was taken there as well. We also had a very large feature wall in our kitchen where we found the installers took extra time with us to customize trim details to feature our hood fan. We were given many different options (look wise) on the trim before we decided to go with the one we did but they mocked up a few right in our driveway for us to make the final decision. They wanted to ensure once again that everything was exactly what we wanted. Just recently, we had them come back out to do some warranty work which to be honest was nothing. They repaired the top of a cabinet door that was damaged by the countertop company when our under mount sink was installed. Although it was not their mistake they made sure it was fixed. Without a doubt, I would refer Shawn and his team to anyone that asked. In fact we have referred Scott Arthur Millwork to many people already. Whenever we have someone in our house for the first time, or for that matter, the tenth time, they mention our kitchen and how beautiful it is! The investment is a large one (financially and emotionally) but the final product that you will receive from Scott Arthur Millwork is worth it. Our project was $55k and we received exactly what Shawn promised quality wise and after all the changes we made, we did not have up charges on anything. From my experience in renovations a lot of companies promise a lot and to save cost in quotes the quality of the product goes down and corners are cut. Or those same companies continue with similar promises in the quote and then up charge lat
