Jamie Platz Family YMCA provides a welcoming environment with friendly and helpful front staff. The swimming lessons have dedicated instructors, although the management could be improved. The summer camp programs are safe and fun for kids, giving them a great experience and efforts to ensure they have a good time. The summer camp features amazing early drop-off options, allowing parents to drop off their kids as early as 7:30 am for free. Many parents appreciate the attentive instructors and organized atmosphere. While most camp staff are friendly, some may be too young for supervising kids, which could lead to inappropriate comments. Despite this, the summer camp remains well-organized and enjoyable for children, making it a popular choice for families.
I want to thank Canada and all the people that giving their efforts to help kids to learned in this facility even for adults they can do the gym exercise , swimming , basketball and lots of stuff that you can do in YMCA . My daughter learned how to swim , thank you to all the trainor that giving their effort to teach kids, everytime i come to YMCA i was happy seeing all the kids they enjoying all the activity in YMCA . Came to get my membership and staff were very kind and informed, the one that helped me check out was named Daniel and he was super informed and seemed very well versed with customer service, give that guy a raise!!!
Disappointing Experience at YMCA: Not a Family-Friendly Moment
As long-time members of the YMCA, my child and I have always appreciated the family-friendly environment. However, an incident this past Saturday left us feeling disappointed.
My child has several classes on Saturdays, and we often get McDonald’s for lunch and eat in the YMCA lobby. This weekend, the area was particularly crowded, and all the tables were occupied—even those that looked empty were taken. I politely asked a man working on his laptop at the only large table if we could share it. He reluctantly agreed but said, “You can sit, but you can’t eat here.”
