“For starters, Sheena was incredible. My visit to their beautiful office is a bit of a blur since I truly believe I was in a state of shock and denial over the loss of my mom. Sheena and the entire staff were so accommodating, understanding, compassionate, and made the entire experience as comfortable as possible. I haven't lived in Canada for many years, so I had no idea where to begin with the paperwork process. Paying the extra fee to have them take care of everything was the best decision I made, especially with the postal strike in effect. I have had to contact several agencies for different reasons since my mom's passing, and all had been notified by Hainstock's competent staff, on my behalf. Fortunately, my parents both pre-paid their funeral arrangements while living in British Columbia. Naturally, I thought that I would be responsible for the expenses incurred since my mom had just moved back to Alberta. I was surprised and relieved to learn that their contract was transferable to Hainstock's Funeral Home in Edmonton. I paid very little out-of-pocket expenses and the process was quick and easy. Sheena found a location to expedite my mom's cremation so I could fly home with her remains. She provided all the documentation needed for airport security and customs/immigration and explained how to handle security, carrying my mom's urn. And Sheena was right, the grieving process affects everyone differently...mine was definitely delayed due to the amount of things that had to be taken care of in a short amount of time. Who knew there would be so much to take care of when you lose a loved one! However, thanks to her help - everything has gone very smooth. I can't recommend their services enough. Also, to anyone reading this - do your family a favor by pre-paying your arrangements. You will save hundreds/thousands in the long run and make the process so much easier for those left behind to close out the necessary tasks. “Connelly McKinley Funeral Home made a difficult time a little more bearable. From the very beginning, Scott McLeod and the entire staff treated us with genuine kindness and thoughtfulness.
The funeral card they designed was absolutely perfect-beautifully done. Scott was incredibly helpful in guiding us through the funeral mass. The video tribute they created captured the essence of mom in such a touching and meaningful way. One of the moments that stood out most was when I went to pick up the urn. They had placed it in a private room, giving me the time and space to say a quiet goodbye before bringing it home. That small gesture meant more than words can express.
Every detail was handled with care, and it was clear that everyone involved truly understands the importance of their role during such a sensitive time. I'm deeply grateful for the support and compassion we received from Scott and the whole team. Thank you for making sure everything was done with respect, dignity, and heart.

“I can't say enough good thing about the experience we had with Rebecca at Fountain Garden. My brother passed Christmas eve and Rebecca was available for us Christmas day. This is our second dealing with Fountain. Both were much more then a 5 star. We went a few years ago because it is affordable but found the service, the care, the whole experience was superior to other experiences in costly fancy pushy funeral services. There was no question we would deal with them with my brother and would strongly recommend to anyone. They are not ridiculously fancy but the office is lovely, very clean and comforting .
