The vets are kind and compassionate. We take all our pets here , and today after a fight we a very aggressive type of cancer we had to say good bye to our good boy Troy … the vets were so compassionate and caring and empathetic. They were very respectful both to us and to our beloved Troy. We honestly really appreciate how human and how kind the vets were. Thank you for making this difficult moment a little easier on us and our pets . God bless !
Dr. Tom at Carstairs vet did a great job for our dog Quinn’s bilateral TPLO surgeries in 2024. We drove from Calgary for the surgery after hearing great things and were not disappointed. Our puppy is usually very anxious at the vet and by our second appointment would walk straight back with Dr. Tom with no hesitation. He even took the time to sit on the floor with her in the clinic on our first visit to get her comfortable with him. He was clear on the risks and benefits of the surgery and how extensive the recovery was. Our girl is now back running and playing like a puppy. Can’t say enough good things about our experience here. Thanks dr. Tom!

Dr Tom did the surgery and our whole experience was phenomenal. The communication, care, availability to be there when we had questions, can not be matched elsewhere. Having this surgery at 8 years old, Dr Tom gave us another 4 years with her and I will forever thank him for helping her. It was amazing to see her finally feel comfortable with a vet.
