Ed was so kind this week, talking to me and looking into my Audi’s engine troubles, despite it being a long weekend. I had heard from a few people in town that he knows European cars. He has been responsive, sent me pictures of metal shavings in my oil, looked at my service receipts from Audi to figure out what might have gone wrong. He prepared me to talk to Audi’s service department about my car, even though it means he might not get my business if they decide to pay for the issues. When I asked him what I owed him, he said he didn’t really do much, and I can get him next time. It might not have seemed like much to him but it meant a lot to me. It’s hard to find someone to trust when you’re talking thousands of dollars in repairs, especially if mechanical issues and vocabulary are not a strength for you. I’m looking at a total engine rebuild and obviously I’m upset. So talking me through it and saying I don’t owe him for the work? Such kindness. Thank you, Ed!
Got an accurate, reasonable quote. He managed to diagnose and fix my Jetta for an issue that VW didn't manage to figure out in three separate visits. Fast, friendly service. I'll definitely be back!
