Rick (Horioka) has been tattooing me for just shy of 6 years now. If you're looking for traditional Japanese style work that is true to tradition, you would be hard pressed to find someone local that is on the same level as him.
Horioka is a consummate professional when it comes to his trade, and the level of detail and effort that goes into each piece and each session is undeniable. He is also very easy going, approachable and willing to talk with you about all aspects of the piece/project and the process.
Doesn't hurt he's just a genuinely amazing person and you will struggle not to become fast friends with him.
