I discovered Good Fillin at Taste of Calgary, delicious! The veggie empanadas are so amazing that I went back for more. The staff are lovely, I’ll be visiting their cafe in the future.

Had the pleasure of dining at this tiny, off the beaten path restaurant and the food and owners are amazing. Carmine & Max run this little restaurant as an add-on to their empanada production facility. Carmine is Venezuelan and Max is Swiss-German and their talents together left me wanting to come back again and again. If you time your visit correctly (on Friday’s) you can also buy a loaf of their incredible sourdough bread that they make for various other food establishments around town. We had a 1/2 party platter which came with a variety of empanadas and tequeños (cheese sticks), we also shared a Patacon sandwich. They were incredibly delicious. The owners are treat to talk to. Can’t wait to come back next week with a new group of friends so they can taste it for themselves.
