Greg and his crew do a phenomenal job and always proceed after consulting with the homeowner. I have used him a few times and have always been very pleased with the results. I have recommended him to friends who have followed through and been very pleased as well. Greg has a great deal of knowledge - both scholarly and experiential - and he and his crew are incredibly safety conscious. He is a bit like a monkey tho … ? This summer I recently had a significant hail storm hit my Highwood community. With the loss of smaller branches and needles from the pine tree next to my house, I decided to get a couple of quotes on the removal of the one tree. One of the arbor companies came to quote $XXXX for removal of the tree, but I was responsible for removing 2x8’ sections of my fence for their access AND I had to provide plywood to protect a wooden deck under the tree. Beyond the quote no additional insight was provided.

We (together with our neighbours) contracted with Chinook Arbor Services recently to have a border tree removed that had lifted our driveway. Greg, Jessie and the entire team were extremely patient, polite and informative with our myriad of questions as we navigated the sometimes emotional and complex decision on how we might both repair our driveway and not harm the very old and beautiful spruce tree. Greg's passion for and knowledge of the urban forest is very evident and he is generous with his time in educating his clients.
