We were returning from a 2300 kms road trip to Winnipeg and driving home this morning from Medicine Hat, our Audi drove over a chunk of something hard on the Trans Canada.(T-C). It did not take long to realize we were dragging a car part on the hwy. We stopped at a pull-off to take a look and because my husband was unable to remove the part hitting the ground, calling AMA was the best bet since we have a lifetime membership c them and were fairly close to Brooks (20 kms?). Within just over an hour, we had talked c a REAL person at AMA and another REALLY great person at Bill's Garage. His flat bed towing vehicle c driver Cecil was on its way since highways, such as T-C get high priority. Cecil had that Audi on the flat bed within minutes and just as fast at getting it off at Bill's Garage. We knew we had at least an hour or two, so headed out for a walk around Lake Stafford c Bill's recommendation. By the time we got back, the car was outside, pointing in the direction of "home". Bill's mechanic had checked out the underbody thoroughly, removed the destroyed under-cover piece and reassured us there was no major damage. Tremendous service experience and a worthwhile talk c Bill about benefits of AutoPro dealerships/mechanics and we left with much gratitude. I wrote a Trip Advisor report but it likely went into Cyberspace. Thank you Cecil, Bill Turnbull and the mechanic who so speedily diagnosed and fixed the problem to facilitate us on our way back to Canmore.
