Training at Third Way has been a fantastic experience. Coach Jess creates such an inviting environment; he’s amazingly patient and knows exactly how to adapt his instruction to meet you at your current level. The whole community is super welcoming, and as a woman, the gym having such a supportive group of women to train with has made learning jiu-jitsu both empowering and fun.
The owner/instructor here is wonderful! He has a way of explaining new moves and techniques in a way that is very clear, engaging and fun for the kids. For neuro spicy kids, he's willing to listen to questions and concerns the parent(s) have and will be 100% honest with you. My son is still learning to hold conversations and Jess works so well with him. I can see my son's confidence growing after just a few lessons. My girls are big wigglers and he has had patience with all my kids. If you're nervous or worried, give him a call, you'll hear the patience and kindness in his voice. Our timid daughter started approximately a year ago. The coaches are fantastic and she's progressing more than we ever expected. A few months ago, we (the parents) enrolled in the beginner's class, and couldn't be happier with how patient and kind the coaches are. It's now the 'family sport.'
